From few hours ago Wikileaks presented to the world through famous international media outlets including Al Jazeera channel the Iraq war log. Wikileaks is currently down and this is no surprise.

I am reading it at the guardian currently and I recommend that you do the same.

You can also read the war logs at the bureau of investigative journalism’s the Iraq war logs.

  1. I congratulate the whistle blowers for risking their freedom by leaking US Army dirty laundry for the world to see.
The US government claims that these leaks will jeopardize the lives of American soldiers in Iraq, yet they fail to admit that the greater harm lies when their soldiers return back home to face scarce financial/medical/social support. They also fail to admit that 1 out of 3 returning veterans suffer from post-traumatic disorder syndrome (PTDS), addictions, behavioral disorders and end up committing violent crimes or suicide.
Iraq and Afghan wars were fabricated by multinational corporations and world powers to gain control of natural resources.

  2. A very important fact bared by WikiLeaks catalogue was the extreme abuse by Iraqi forces against fellow Iraqis and Iran's deep involvement in terrorist operations against Americans and Iraqis alike - to both of which the US turned a blind eye.
The documents indicate 3 important facts:
    1. US troops were instructed not to investigate any breach of the laws of armed conflict, such as the abuse of detainees, unless it directly involves members of the coalition.
    2. The incumbent Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who gained the support of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, was recorded as having in the past headed Iran-backed Shiite terror networks responsible for political assassinations on his orders.
    3. Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps' Al Qods Brigades, under the command of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, orchestrated and led many of the attacks that terrorized American force and Iraqis over the years.
The failed US invasion has enabled Iran to take hold much of Iraq.
