How Many Patients Can Be Treated with That Money Annually !!??

I think I have tackled before how the regime is wasting our tax payers money , our money in treating medically its men and their families abroad. Zahi Hawas as I remember was a good example , he travelled to the States to have an eye surgery done every day in Egypt so cheaply. Despite being rich thanks to his books worldwide , Hawas did not pay a single penny in his trip , it was on the state expense aka we paid the bill !!

It is so provoking because the government ignored the pleas of other intellectuals who did not have enough money to be treated for real abroad and the examples are too many  like for instance Dr. Abdel Wahab El-Messiri. Of course these intellectuals are different from the kind of Hawas , they are not part of the regime nor they are faithful to it.

Ok the intellectuals hate the regime and thus they do not deserve any pity what about the citizens , the normal poor citizens who always say yes and never complain !! Well they have to have huge connections so they can be treated at the State expense for  in Egypt not abroad.

Thank God now people are speaking about the matter at last when it turned out that Africa and Asia’s best minister of finance Boutres Ghali has been treated abroad for LE 1 million last year at the State’s expense !! Yes one million pound from our taxes money which he increases year after year was spent on him !! Just before you say that it could be serious , well my dear friends Ghali is not a poor man nor did he suffer from anything serious that could not be treated in Egypt !!

It is not only him afraid , there is a huge debate in the people’s assembly about the medical treatment at the state expense , the right which has been abused for a long time. Millions of pounds have been wasted on the Statesmen who can afford to be treated even on the moon where as poor people can’t find cheap medicine in this country.

By the way this could have never happened if there is a real democracy with accountability and transparency !!

May God bless the days when our parliament refused to let King Farouk buy on the State expense a new bed room for his new bride then Nariman Sadek !!

The treatment on the State’s expense is just the tip of the ice berg on our money that is being wasted in front of our own eyes !!

  1. Whether you like, dislike / agree/ disagree with Dr Hawas you have to admit the guy is one of the few statesmen who is actually contributing to Egypt. Don't talk so gloriously of " Everyday medical treatmemt in Egypt" may God help
the Egyptian patients. There are enough horror stories that you may want to cover if you care to. If a statesman deserves treatment abroad Dr Hawas is the one.

  2. With my all respect I do not pay my taxes in this country so rich statesmen can be treated medically on my expense and the expense of those who really needed from poor people who can't buy medicine in this country.
Dr.Hawas has contributions and he was awarded and honored yet it does not give him the right to go and have an eye surgery he can have it in Al Magrabhi hospital in the States on your expense my dear.
Personally I know that Dr.Hawas Mashallah is a real rich man

  3. the reason why he didn't want to be treated in Egypt is because he knows that the hospital supplies aren't up to standards. 70% of medical supplies such as needles and hazordous waste is refurbished. check out this documentary. I guess I can't cut and paste. well if you go to OTVEgypt.com under programs and then documentaries you'll see Tabaq el Dayeba, My heart was pounding really hard, and I was really happy that in the year I lived in Egypt as an adult and the two years I lived there as a tween I never had to get a shot nor get a blood test or receive blood there.
